In the third and final episode of the Freddy Corbin series, not only do we get exclusive footage of the renowned tattooer parachuting at the tender age of 24, but we hear the personal, intimate details of his young life and career - from the early days of his drug abuse, to living in Amsterdam’s Red Light District, his brother’s tragic death, and being petrified of starting a family. While his adorable, blonde son bops up and down on the tattooer’s lap, Freddy depicts what it’s like to get caught up in a “shit storm” of drug use and how spiritual trips to India jump-started his positive outlook on the world.

Freddy grew up in the deep of the tattoo mecca of San Francisco, and has since been working the needle for over twenty-seven years. In the second episode of the series finale, we talk to Freddy about his rise as a tattoo artist - from the day he received an income tax return check in the mail for $75 that he used towards his first tattoo, to the unforgettable 9 am phonecall from Ed Hardy with a job offer. We chat about everything from Freddy’s Rock of Ages back piece to the post-punk industrial period of the 80s.

Part 1 of Tattoo Age: Freddy Corbin series.
And we will have shirts from Freddy in the near future... More news soon.
Freddy has been tattooing for over twenty-seven years, and is known throughout the world for his two popular Oakland parlors, Temple and Tattoo 13. In the first episode of the series finale, we meet up with Freddy and his friends as they muse about his growth as a tattoo artist - from a kid who was into drawing, to one of the perpetrators of some of the biggest trends in the craft (specifically, with the Day of the Dead Skull). Commonly referred to as a “fucking cool dude,” Freddy chills at his shop, plays with his kids, and hangs around town in the liberal-thinking, beautiful city that he loves so much.

"I've always seen it as the role of an artist to drag his inside out, give the audience all you've got. Writers, actors, singers, all good artists do the same.
It isn't supposed to be easy."
-Henry Rollins
