david m. cook
born oct. 12th 1972 in louisville kentucky
moved to brooklyn ny at the age of 30, i'm 38 now so you do the math.
plays in a heavy metal band called marching teeth and currently is hustling art and working as studio manager for transistor studios.
i try and work in as many styles as i can including some painting, paper cut outs, drawing, and color drawings using illustration markers.
i try and draw like a computer did it, just for fun. it's nice to confuse people from time to time. the most recent series of drawings for a show at white walls gallery in s.f., that can also be seen in the newest issue of hi-fructose magazine, are all based on a friend of mine named teresa nasty who works as a dominatrix here in nyc. they are based on the stories she tells me and the ideas of sex,, violence, and love....oh.....and giant snakes that turn into rainbow boners.
